After sick animals are treated, they are neutered and vaccinated and then left free in the region where they are collected in accordance with the Law on Protecting Animals of the Ministry of Forestry, numbered 5199.

Pursuant to the law on Protecting Animals, numbered 5199 and the relevant directive;

Temporary Shelter is defined as the place where street animals are rehabilitated, neutered and vaccinated and earrings were worn and recorded for a maximum period of 10-15 days. As per Article 6, the animals must be left free in the area where they are collected after they are vaccinated, neutered and recorded.

Our directorate carries out studies to prevent street animals from becoming a threat for the residents and take required measures for this. It aims to prevent transmittance of diseases from animals to human beings, to take stray animals under control and prevent any potential damages these animals may give to their environments and protect their rights and bring them to the shelter by collecting the animals with humane methods ( with lasso ropes and cages). These animals are undergone medical attention and operations and they were injected against parasites, rabies and other diseases. Then they are undergone vasectomy surgery in order to prevent their reproduction and they are attached earrings and microchips to record them. The animals whose treatment is completed, cared and rehabilitated are left in to the areas where they are collected.

The animals living at our temporary shelter can be adopted by filling in required forms. You can also adopt these animals to give them a warm home.
